My name is Lilian, and my husband is Peter. I am a farmer, and Peter is a shoemaker. Together, we have raised seven children, and our faith in Jesus has been the foundation of our family. I am born again, and I love Jesus. We believe that everything we have is a blessing from God and that we are called to use it to bless others. As Scripture says, “As each of you has received a gift, use it to serve one another” (1 Peter 4:10).

Our desire to help vulnerable children became deeply personal when my brother-in-law was imprisoned. We saw firsthand how his children suffered without their father. Although we had limited resources and young children of our own, Peter and I helped them in whatever small ways we could. Their joy and relief left a lasting impression on us and strengthened our desire to help other children facing similar circumstances.

Children whose parents are in prison can face hunger, homelessness, interrupted education, and a lack of emotional care. Some are left on the streets, while others are taken in by relatives who are already struggling to support their own families. We believe every child deserves to be safe, loved, and given an opportunity to thrive.

Through this project, we hope to create a true home—not simply a building—where children of prisoners can receive shelter, food, education, guidance, and loving care. We want each child to know that their circumstances do not determine their future. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14).

I will oversee the home and farm, including the children’s daily care, food, education, and wellbeing. The farm will help provide food for the home while also giving the children opportunities to learn practical skills and develop confidence.

Our family will also be involved. Two of our children will assist directly with the home, while our other children, who have families of their own, will contribute through advice, ideas, and support according to their abilities. This is therefore a family calling—a way for all of us to serve God by serving His children.

We know we cannot solve every problem, but we have learned that even a small act of kindness can bring great hope to a child. Our prayer is that this home will give children the opportunity to live with dignity, attend school, discover their God-given gifts, and grow in confidence, character, faith, and hope.

Above all, we entrust this work to Jesus. We believe He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust Him to guide us and provide everything needed for this calling. “The Lord will provide” (Genesis 22:14).

Our hope is that every child who comes into this home will experience not only care and opportunity, but also the love of Jesus. We pray that they will grow knowing that they are valued, that God has a purpose for their lives, and that there is always hope in Him.
