Emmanuel’s Journey of Healing at Tabitha House 4

At the far corner of the field, Emmanuel chased the ball with newfound energy—something he had lost for a long time. His life had taken a dark turn the day his mother was imprisoned for a serious offense. With no close relatives able to take him in, Emmanuel spent many lonely days without care, guidance, or even the comfort of a regular meal. Eventually, the burden became too heavy, and he dropped out of school, drifting further into hopelessness.

Emmanuel at Tabitha House 4

Everything changed the day a Tabitha Agent visited the prison where his mother was incarcerated. During his routine outreach, he noticed Emmanuel’s mother sitting alone, troubled. As they spoke, his mother broke down and shared her worries about her son—how she had no idea where he was or whether he was safe. Moved with compassion, the Tabitha House agent promised to find him.

His follow-up shocked him. Emmanuel had not only left school but was also struggling every day just to survive. Without hesitation, he brought him to Tabitha House 4 Rescue Centre, giving him a place to sleep, eat, where he could go back to school, and feel safe again.

Slowly, Emmanuel began to heal. Surrounded by love, structure, and encouragement, he regained his confidence and rediscovered the joy of simply being a child.

And now, as he runs across the grass playing football with his friends, the boy who was once lost is full of life again—proof that hope can be restored, and a future rebuilt, when just one person cares enough to step in.

Would you be the person who steps in for the next Emmanuel? Prison Christian Ministries have just finished Tabitha House 5 and are taking 30 Emmanuel’s that all need someone to care.
