On the morning of May 9th at 7;30am a team of volunteers, Hal Babcock, Hollis Clark, Paul G Dixon, Racheal Comeau, and Terri Lynn Norton left Fredericton to spread the gospel (good news) of Jesus at Naomi & Ruth treatment centre and Harvest House Atlantic one located in the Moncton and the other in Shediac, I have to love these folks that not only say they are Christians, they act like Christians.
We visited Naomi and Ruth treatment centre where13 ladies responded to the music and gospel message in a wonderful way of love and peace. It is always a blessing to witness a move of the Holy Spirit when we minister to these ladies.
This is Doug who served 16 years in prison. We met about 5 years ago at Springhill medium security prison. Doug was visibly hungry for a big change in his life and grew a hunger for what we brought with the Gospel, the Great News of Jesus and His incredible love for Doug. He accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord and upon release went through a rehab program. He did so well that he now works at the same treatment centre and shelter for the homeless.
He asked me if I realized how many men we had led to Jesus and how much we are loved by the inmates. We give God all the praise for Doug's salvation and yet the affirmation is empowering us to continue on. The one thing that we have often heard is that we are accepted and listened to because we keep coming back. God is all the time sooooo good!
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recover of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free" Luke 4:18
