Children of Tabitha House 4: Meet Moses

My name is Moses Olelongo. I was born and raised by a single parent in a very humble background. My mother moved from Narok to Nakuru in search of greener pastures, but life didn’t turn out how she hoped. The struggles overwhelmed her, and eventually, she fell into alcoholism. That path led her into crime, and she ended up serving a five-year prison sentence.

Left alone, my brother and I had no shelter, no food, and no one to support us. We dropped out of school and ended up living on the streets. At a very young age, we were exposed to drugs and the harsh realities of street life. Although I never liked that life, I had no one to help me out.

Through our grandfather, a very old, disabled man living in deep poverty, we were connected to an organization called Tabitha House 4. They took me in and enrolled me in Grade 3 at Tabitha Academic School. I shed tears when I saw myself in a school uniform. I knew then that God had given me a second chance.

Oh, what a wonderful place to be — a place where I eat full meals every day and sleep comfortably every night.

May the Lord bless Bishop Brent and the entire PCM team. Thanks to them, I’m back in school — with food, shelter, and hope for the future.
